Soil and terroir
The area extends across the slopes on both banks of the river Cher. The vine plots lie on naturally draining slopes on limestone or flinty clay soils.
Grape variety and know-how
Cabernet Franc – Côt – Gamay.
The grapes are harvested when they reach maximum maturity. The grapes are fermented whole. Aged for one year to soften the wine and develop its fruitiness and creamy mouthfeel.
Tasting notes
Finely aromatic wine. The robe is a pomegranate red. The nose offers aromas of blackcurrant and violet. Clean, full-bodied and slightly spicy on the palate. Persistent tannins deliver a beautifully long finish. At its best served with delicate meats such as veal.
To be served between 14°C and 16°C.
