Schist soils on the slopes of the village of Chaume. Temperate oceanic climate with very slight variations in temperature – the mild climate for which Anjou is renowned. Grown on Ronceray vine plots, this wine is produced on the same plots as such appellations as Chaume Premier Cru and Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru, two terroirs producing “grands vins”.

Grape variety and know-how

100% Chenin Blanc.

The grapes are picked when fully ripe just before the appearance of “noble rot”. Ageing in acacia barrels along 10 months.

Vin de garde which will begin to develop all its qualities now and continue over the next eight years. At it’s best when served with fish from the river Loire.
