Soil and terroir

The appellation area lies just outside Angers on the right bank of the river Loire. The slopes are perpendicular to the river and the soil is shallow, resulting in the perfect conditions for producing dry white wines with high maturity.

Grape variety and know-how

100% Chenin blanc.

The grapes are picked by hand when slightly more mature, to preserve their freshness. Pure wines which express the characteristics of the Chenin Blanc variety in its natural state. Aged in barrels for 1 year to fully develop the wine’s concentration and fresh flavour.

Tasting notes

This wine boasts a bright, crystal clear robe. The nose offers intense, mineral notes. On the palate, a soft attack reveals a powerful, complex wine. This Savennières, made from Chenin Blanc, is a perfect foil for river fish with beurre blanc, such as pike or pike-perch.

To be served between 10°C and 12°C.
